Performances Underway

Production week(s) are always so very exciting… and a little nailbiting, too. It’s the Big Reveal of what the cast has worked on for the past 8 weeks, kind of like a theatrical finals week.

Well, the cast of Homecoming is making all A’s this time!

With only a few performances left, these guys are really hitting audiences hard with humor and pathos! Those poor theater-goers are struck with an onslaught of emotion—not sure whether to laugh one moment or cry. From a director’s vantage point, it’s a beautiful thing to see the cast connect with their audience like that.

If you haven’t come out and seen us yet, please do so! We’ve still got a few performances left this cycle, and I promise you won’t be disappointed… or your money back!

A Little Audition—It’s Good for You

Maybe you like auditioning, maybe you don’t. Most folks don’t. But then, most folks haven’t. Or at least, they think they haven’t.

Auditioning is really just an interview. Instead of senseless scenario questions (“Tell me about a time you had to make a deadline you weren’t sure you could meet”) that almost always have nothing to do with the job you’re interviewing for (I can assure you I won’t be fiddling around with deadlines as a cashier, unless everyone in my line suddenly drops dead), auditions actually size you up for the specific “job” in question—the role you’re auditioning for!

Little-known fact: auditions are really interviews before they’ve hit puberty and become totally un-fun.

Okay, so maybe that was made up. But the point is auditions are—can be—a lot of fun! And studies show that they’re good for you! (Yeah, that’s made up, too.)

Wanna know what’s not made up? We’re having auditions for Homecoming on Saturday (July 7, 2018) from 2 – 6 PM at Heritage Bible Church, 14 Beaverfork Rd, Conway, AR 72032. Bring yourself. Bring some music to sing to (if you want a good part). Bring a friend for moral support. And after they get done supporting you, make them audition.

Hopefully, after all’s said and done, you’ll be a lovely “audition” to the team! 🙂
